Designed soon after the First World War, the Sinaia was a "long range, heavy bomber" which first flew on 25th June, 1921.
Powered by 2 - 600 h.p. Armstrong Siddeley Tiger engines, with alternative provision for 2 - 480 h.p. Napier Lions, there were two gun positions in the extended engine nacelles.
Only two of these aircraft were made, they were assembled at Martlesham Heath and used there for experimental purposes.

Note that the A-8 "Tiger" engines are the liquid cooled type, an early breed of the air cooled radial engine of the same name.
